The role:

Situated in the heart of Cremorne, Richmond, you will lead web development, integrate our custom-built apps into retailers’ websites, build new site features and tools, and manage the full tech stack.

You are highly motivated and enthusiastic. With a passion to learn, you’re great at solving problems and finding solutions. You have an eagle-eye for integrating front-end design. You enjoy working with revolving projects and priorities.

You will be a key part of a small but growing team.

You:

  • Have strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Can quickly hit the ground running and lead the development of back-end and front-end features, including integrating new retail partners via our Apps for Shopify, Magento, Big Commerce, etc.
  • Have a customer-centric mindset to develop solutions that support growth and scalability.
  • Are always looking for ways to optimise and improve the platform according to latest technologies.
  • Are familiar with API’s and can manage the set up and integrations with other platforms, such as email marketing (Campaign Monitor, Klaviyo, etc.)
  • Can collaborate with designers to build a slick, beautiful responsive web experience, including the use of video.

To be considered for this position, you must have the following skills and experience:

  • A formal qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
  • At least two years’ experience building responsive websites in a full-stack capacity

Strong technical skills in:

  • PHP, JavaScript, MySql, WordPress. Rich User Interface
  • Versatile in Frontend and Backend development

Functional skills in:

  • JQuery
  • Responsive web development
  • Integrating APIs
  • Programming techniques and JavaScript debugging in the browser and on the server
  • Photoshop (desired but not essential)

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing, improving and building upon our full tech stack to ensure maximum performance of the platform and website
  • Supporting integrations with retailers and communicating with other tech teams as required
  • Building new site and database features - from scope to solution
  • Managing the numerous applications and plug-ins built for Shopify, Big Commerce, Magento etc, and optimise for growth
  • Implementing front-end designs with 100% pixel-perfect precision
  • Troubleshooting and improving upon our existing system
  • Q&A testing, documentation, version control and communication via Jira & Confluence
