The Opportunity

This is an exciting new opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the advancement and integration of our health and community services and join our Executive leadership team within a thriving and growing community health organisation. As the Executive Lead – Primary Care, you will play a crucial role in successfully driving the strategic and operational performance of our Medical, Dental, Allied Health, and Child & Family Services. Our organisation operates within a values-based culture and is supported by an engaged multi-disciplinary workforce. Your responsibility will be to ensure that the delivery of our services, aligns with and represents the mission and strategic direction of Access Health and Community.

One of your main areas of focus will be on workforce development, risk management, continuous improvement. You will lead a proactive and collaborative change management process to drive innovation and service development in response the changing external landscape, including embedding our new Priority Primary Care Centre in Richmond. Your leadership will support accountability through an engaged and motivated workforce as well as effective day to day resource management.

What you will be doing

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high quality, safe, effective and efficient primary care services
• Provide leadership to the management team, including tailored development and coaching, performance management
• Design and implement operating models aligned with regulatory and contractual obligations, and informed by a best-practice evidence base
• Monitor performance to ensure required performance levels (financial, quality, people, compliance, impact) are being met and that services are subject to continuous improvement
• Work with the People and Culture team to develop and implement workforce plans, to ensure AccessHC can attract, develop and retain a talented group of employees and volunteers
• Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with funders, delivery partners and key stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams to integrate services to achieve better outcomes
• Monitor the impact of social and economic trends and policy development on future service direction
• Drive service innovation and business development across Primary Care services
• Oversight clinical and practice governance across the organisation.

What you will bring

Key Selection Criteria

• Relevant tertiary qualification/s in medicine, allied health, dentistry or public health
• Minimum 5 years' experience in senior management or executive level positions in health services
• Track record of success of leading the delivery and transformation of a diverse portfolio of health services, with multiple funding streams and contracts
• Experience of effectively managing relationships with government, key stakeholders and partners
• Excellent knowledge of contemporary clinical governance and risk management best-practice, with experience of implementing this throughout operations
• Experience of delivering growth and innovation within health services.
