ID. Know Yourself is an Aboriginal-led non-profit founded by Isaiah Dawe in 2019, dedicated to providing love, consistency, and holistic support to young people aged 7-16 who have experienced out-of-home care. Our mission is to establish belonging, purpose, and empowerment through group sessions and mentoring support.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Social Media Officer will enhance the IDKY brand and build strong online communities through various social media platforms. Responsibilities include developing and administering engaging content and analysing social media data to implement effective strategies. This is a stand-alone role, reporting directly to the Operations Manager and CEO.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work to develop social media campaigns aligned with organisational marketing goals.
• Create monthly reports on emerging social media trends for the management team.
• Monitor and engage with the company’s social media accounts.
• Develop methods for collecting and saving online customer reviews.
• Analyse the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy and offer quarterly reports to management.
• Support and promote company goals through message development, content creation, and media outreach.
• Develop a strong social media presence, increase community knowledge of IDKY's services, and maintain the organisation's website.
• Ensure digital marketing content aligns with the brand's identity and message.

The successful candidate will have:

• A bachelor's degree, post-graduate certificate or diploma in Communications, Journalism, Media or a related field
• Demonstrated two + years experience in a similar role
• A social media or marketing portfolio to demonstrate prior works
• A professional approach
• Exceptional multi-tasking skills
• A proven track record in communications or related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Organisational and time management skill
