Responsibilities:

Administration

  • Take the lead on all things HR admin—timely support, accurate contracts, letters, and communications—keeping everything up-to-date and on point.
  • Keep our HR systems in check, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
  • Offer guidance on HR admin tasks and tackle ad hoc duties like roster consultations.
  • Make sure we stay compliant with HR documentation and reporting.

Recruitment

  • Own the recruitment process with a flair for creating an exceptional candidate experience, collaborating with hiring managers and making sure new hires are onboarded and ready to shine.

Learning & Development

  • Manage our annual staff development calendar, ensuring everyone gets the training they need.
  • Keep the online learning system running smoothly and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop engaging online learning content.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)

  • Coordinate WHS activities and initiatives, working closely with the WHS committee to keep our workplace safe and healthy.
  • Support return-to-work and injury management when necessary.

Staff Engagement & Retention

  • Help create a fun, engaging workplace culture by developing and supporting wellbeing initiatives.
  • Assist in tracking and rolling out HR initiatives to keep the team engaged and motivated and creating a work culture where our people thrive.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in HR Administration or HR Services.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, keeping things clear and to the point.
  • A confidentiality pro—what happens in HR stays in HR!
  • Strong administrative skills, with the ability to juggle tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (extra points for experience with Employment Hero or similar HR systems!).
  • A solid understanding of HR policies, compliance, and related protocols.
