Mental Health Therapist

The Iceberg Foundation

Are you a therapist with an anti-colonial and anti-oppressive lens, an interest in somatic trauma work, and a soft spot for beanbags and boundary-respecting banter? Come join The Iceberg Foundation Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, a proudly neuroqueer-led mental health charity that centres the thriving of LGBTIQAPSB+ and neurodivergent communities.

We don’t just talk about inclusion, we live it. Our team walks (or rolls or stims) alongside people made marginalised by oppressive systems. We create spaces where folks can reconnect, heal, and step into their favourite selves. Think parts work, narrative therapy, EMDR, sensory-supportive furniture, and the kind of solidarity that doesn’t come with a hashtag.

Your purpose in the team [Position Overview]

As a Mental Health Therapist at TIF, your primary role is to deliver affirming, relational, and healing centred trauma-informed therapy to participants. You will support individuals to heal, reconnect, and thrive by offering culturally humble, neurodivergent-affirming, and somatically aware care. You will work collaboratively within a lived-experience-led team, contributing to a collective approach to mental health and community wellbeing.

What we’re looking for

  • A deep commitment to anti-oppressive, anti-colonial, healing centred practice
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a lived/ing-experience-led team
  • High relational capacity: warmth, compassion, authentic belief in participant experiences and growth potential
  • Experience in body-based, narrative, parts, and/or EMDR therapy is highly valued
  • Comfort and skill in working with neurodivergent, queer, and people of the global majority [BIPOC] communities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respond in an affirming yet safe enough manner to participant distress or dysregulation
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, reflection, supervision, and collective care

Why The Iceberg Foundation?

  • Affirming, supportive and engaging multidisciplinary team environment
  • Training and Professional Development Opportunities
  • Comfy and Cosy Spaces
  • A Justice Oriented Team
