Located in Parramatta is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Payroll Manager some of your key accountabilities will be:

• End to end processing of fortnightly payroll – 2500 employees
• Data entry of payroll data
• Maintaining employee records, amending if needed
• Interpretation of awards, agreements, contracts and legislation
• Handling any payroll related queries
• Calculating PAYG, overtime rates, leave, super, salary sacrificing etc
• Processing any new starters or terminations
• End of month payroll reporting
• Adhoc duties as required

THE CANDIDATE:

To secure this opportunity the ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience within a similar role – you are confident and have an in-depth understanding of payroll functions and processes
• You are a confident user of payroll systems. Experience with Aurion ideal but not essential
• Exceptional communication skills – you are articulate and approachable and enjoy being a contact person within the department
• Experience within the Not for Profit sector (again this would be ideal but isn’t essential)
• A current Working with Children check and Police check – If you don’t have one but you are happy to obtain one if successful we would still like to hear from you

This really is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent role within a fantastic organisation. The client is also open to a temp – perm arrangement so if you’re available to commence ASAP, that’s great. We are also really happy to hear from candidates who might be in a permanent role and have to give notice.
