The Opportunity

Working closely with the wider Advocacy team, this newly created role is responsible for coordinating Hutt St Centre’s community fundraising initiatives and supporting our valued corporate partners and philanthropic supporters.

Under the guidance of the Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager, you’ll help deliver meaningful engagement opportunities, execute partnership deliverables, and support the planning and delivery of key fundraising and philanthropic events.

The Advocacy team is responsible for the marketing, fundraising, communications, government relations and advocacy activities of Hutt St Centre. In 2024, the team was named Fundraising Team of the Year SA/NT by the Fundraising Institute of Australia.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to deliver year-round sponsorship and partnership commitments.
  • Develop meaningful opportunities to attract new business support and empower existing partners through fundraising campaigns, workplace giving, and corporate volunteering.
  • Support the development and delivery of a strategic pipeline for corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations.
  • Manage community fundraising initiatives and explore opportunities to engage corporate partners and community groups in raising awareness and support.
  • Provide assistance with enquiries, merchandise collection, and logistics for both Hutt St Centre-led and third-party fundraising events.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and support integrated approaches to supporter engagement and growth.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of donor stewardship activities, ensuring timely and meaningful engagement with supporters.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, or other related disciplines.
  • Exceptional relationship, influencing, networking and communication skills and proven ability to develop productive, results-focused relationships with income growth.
  • 2+ years’ experience in coordinating partnerships, business development and/or fundraising, preferably in the for-purpose sector (desired but not essential).
  • The role requires a Working with Children and National Police Check.
