The Media Advisor role supports one of the Australian Human Rights Commission’s key functions, to promote and advocate for human rights. This is an opportunity to meaningfully contribute to high profile, national human rights issues.

This is a senior role within the Strategic Communications team, which works closely with all eight Commissioners and the Executive. You will provide high-level advice and lead the communications component for key projects.

Candidates should have comprehensive, all-round media and communications skills and significant experience working as a media or public relations advisor at a senior level. Candidates with significant journalism experience who have worked inside a major newsroom will also be highly regarded.

This is a 6 month non-ongoing vacancy.
