Colac Area Health is an integrated health service with an annual operating budget of almost $60 million and comprising of over 500 employees. It provides a comprehensive range of health services including: Acute Care; Aged Care; and Community and Allied Health Services. Servicing a catchment population of approximately 30,000 people, Colac Area Health is located in one of the most picturesque Victorian municipalities and is within a one-hour drive from Geelong. Colac offers country charm and an enviable rural lifestyle and has the Otway Ranges and the Great Ocean Road right on its doorsteps. They are currently seeking an experienced and suitably qualified professional to undertake this important and challenging role.
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director People and Culture is responsible for building effective strategic and operational systems and process for workforce management and culture at Colac Area Health. The role also has responsibility for Food Services and Volunteer management. Key priorities will be:
To meet the requirements of the role, you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications preferably in a health service environment. You will support this with leadership and management experience including working with, advising and/or supporting Boards and Executive teams, in achieving effective workforce attraction, development and retention strategies. You will have a foundation of Human Resources expertise including recruitment, learning, industrial relations and employment law.
