THE HEART RESEARCH INSTITUTE (HRI) is an internationally recognised medical research institute that performs cutting-edge cardiovascular research from our state-of-the-art facilities in Newtown, Sydney and the Charles Perkins Centre (CPC) at The University of Sydney.
For over 30 years, HRI has been one of Australia's leading research organisations working to detect, prevent and treat heart disease. Our vision is to improve global health through excellence in medical research. Central to our success is generous philanthropic giving and growing and retaining a loyal and engaged database of donors.
The Regular Giving and Donor Development Specialist reports to the Head of Retention, Regular and Mid-Level Giving. The role is responsible for driving regular donations from new and existing supporters and implementing innovative donor acquisition and retention strategies to support the ground-breaking cardiovascular research delivered at HRI. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues across the Development and Philanthropy and research teams to build a healthy pipeline of donors who make strong financial contribution to HRI over their lifetime.
In this role, you will implement regular giving growth strategies, plan donor journeys, and engineer plans to facilitate the retention of supporters for the long term. You will also implement initiatives in collaboration with your colleagues to convert donors from regular low-mid value supporters to high value major philanthropic supporters.
This role also involves the development and implementation of the regular Christmas and Tax Appeals, and the HRI lotteries program. You will work with your colleagues to deliver compelling campaigns that work effectively to build pipeline for regular gifts and that encourage generous gifts.
This is a full-time role based in Newtown. We are a nimble, diverse and flexible team.
Join The Heart Research Institute during a time of growth and innovation, as we transition the organisation from being very traditional in focus to one focussed on strategic philanthropic giving.
