GEGAC is an Aboriginal Community organisation based in Bairnsdale Victoria. Consisting of about 160 staff, GEGAC is a Not for Profit organisation that delivers holistic services in the areas of Primary Health, Social Services, Elders & Disability and Early Childhood Education.

Position purpose

The position will provide additional support to the In Home Support/Home based Learning & other Early Years programs to encourage families to access these programs. The position will work alongside other Early Years team members to build relationships with families to encourage their participation & involvement with early year’s programs & activities. The position will creatively outreach to families not currently accessing services.

Qualifications and registrations requirement (essential or desirable).

• Drivers Licence Essential
• Working with Children Check Essential
• Qualification/training in Early Child Development. Desirable
• Cert 4 or above in a qualification related to social work. Desirable
• A working knowledge of computers. Desirable
• A person of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander background Desirable

A valid Working with Children Check and Police check is mandatory to work in this organisation.
