DUTIES

  • Provide general office and reception duties including but not limited to: answering phones, filing, scanning and saving documents onto SharePoint, assisting customers with enquiries etc.
  • Assist people with disabilities to learn appropriate administration and reception duties
  • Complete documentation for supported employees including ETSR’S as required.
  • Complete any paperwork as directed to comply with NDIS and HPA policies & procedures.
  • Support Admin Services Enclave to perform tasks for external contracts as required
  • Follow correct procedures onsite and offsite as directed by the managers and in line with HPA’s policies and procedures.
  • Use time management, planning and priority setting to achieve objectives and manage own workload.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, other forums and working parties.
  • Provide and maintain, as far as is practicable, a working environment that is safe and without risks to health and safety of people and be aware of their duty of care to exercise personal responsibility for their own safety and that of others.
  • Adheres to reporting, documentation and administrative requirements.
  • Adheres to organisation confidentiality and privacy requirements
  • Other duties as required by the site managers.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products with accurate word processing and data entry skills
  • Highly developed organisational, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and meet the demands of multiple task, competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A sound understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding guidelines, the Mission Statement of HPA Incorporated and the supporting Principles and Values.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to maintain a harmonious working environment employing people with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and effectively in a team environment
  • An understanding of work health and safety
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Screening
  • Right to work in Australia
  • NT Drivers License
  • First Aid Certificate

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience working with people with disability
