As an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO), Djirra delivers holistic, culturally safe, specialist family violence support, legal services and case management, alongside cultural and wellbeing workshops and programs. Djirra advocates for system-wide change to improve access to justice, eliminate systemic violence, and strengthen women's resilience.
Supporting CEO, Antoinette Braybrook AM; inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll of Women in 2020, 2022 Victorian recipient of the Australian Awards of Excellence in Women's Leadership, 2022 Melbournian of the Year - the first Aboriginal person to receive this Award in its 20 years of existence, appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2023 and an Honorary Doctorate from Deakin University in 2024. This position works closely with all Djirra Directors and the Strategic Advisor to manage the CEO's office both strategically and administratively, overseeing all internal administrative tasks.
