THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Salary: $70,973 - $76,352 per annum pro rata + 11% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).
  • Time Fraction: Part Time, 0.8 EFT.
  • Location: Bourke Street campus.
  • WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
  • Position Status: Appointment to 30/11/2024.

The Department of Vocational Education & Training Nursing Programs is currently seeking a Senior Work Placement Officer to play a pivotal role in shaping student career paths.

Your main duty entails setting up and supervising student work placements, collaborating closely with placement facilitators for seamless coordination. Additionally, you'll cultivate and sustain partnerships with industry stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

  • Possess a relevant diploma in aged care, disability, or a related field, or a suitable combination of lesser qualifications and relevant experience. Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is preferred.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the responsibilities of a Work Placement Officer and stay informed about current challenges in securing work placements.
  • Showcase expertise in effectively interacting with diverse individuals through face-to-face interactions, telephone conversations, and email correspondence.
  • Exhibit practical experience in managing the demands of a work placement office, prioritising tasks amid competing responsibilities.
  • Experience in work-based teaching/supervision including coordination or supervision experience in education.
  • Establish partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaborative environments for effective placement facilitation.
