  • Salary: $121,235 per annum pro rata + 11% super + annual leave loading.
  • Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.
  • Location: Chadstone campus. Travel to other campuses will be required.
  • WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
  • Position Status: Ongoing contract of employment, with a 6-month qualifying period.

Join our team as the Manager of Student Wellbeing at our esteemed Institute! You'll play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and welfare of our students, travelling to all our campuses. Your responsibilities include overseeing counselling services, leading a dedicated team of counsellors and welfare officers, and fostering collaboration across departments to cultivate a supportive campus atmosphere.

ABOUT YOU

  • Possess a postgraduate qualification in psychology and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches for individuals with diverse needs, along with a deep understanding of trauma-informed practice.
  • Exhibit familiarity with relevant legal/ethical standards governing psychology, counselling, and child safety, including legislative requirements within a tertiary education context.
  • Showcase expertise in navigating external mental health agencies and community services, alongside a commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation.
  • Display proven experience in leading and strategically managing a diverse team, emphasising client-focused service and resource management.
  • Demonstrate expertise in setting and maintaining workplace standards, addressing sensitive information with discretion, and adapting services to align with organisational goals and priorities.

The Student Wellbeing Department provides comprehensive counselling and welfare services to support the holistic health and welfare of students. This encompasses providing short term counselling sessions, crisis intervention, and mental health support services across all Holmesglen campuses.
