Executive Level 1 - Assistant Practice Manager
The Assistant Practice Mangers lead teams of junior staff in providing administrative support for the procurement, financial & business management, recruitment, training and legal policy functions of the Legal Policy and Practice Management Section. They drive innovation and performance not just in the Section, but across the Division.
We have two Assistant Practice Managers. The precise nature of the role will depend on where gaps appear in the team and the skills and capabilities of the applicant. We encourage you to apply if you have experience in leading small administrative teams, experience in legal practice management, procurement or legal policy matters. You do not have to have experience across all potential aspects of the role.
At this stage we anticipate the work will significantly relate to legal policy matters. This may involve revising internal policy documents, drafting new ones and/or liaising with the Office of the Office of Legal Services Coordination at the Attorney General’s Department.
The role is advertised as non-ongoing or ongoing and may be filled by either a temporary or permanent appointment. However, at this stage we expect to appoint someone for a temporary 6-month period.
