As Australia’s peak national organisation for the community HIV and LGBTIQA+ health response, Health Equity Matters supports member organisations working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities, people living with HIV, sex workers, people who use drugs, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Through advocacy, policy, and health promotion it leads Australia’s effort to end HIV transmission and promote the health of its communities.
In the Asia Pacific region, Health Equity Matters uses the same strengths to promote effective policy, strengthen local community leadership, and support communities in their work in HIV, health, and human rights.
The Pacific Program Officer (ASPHA) provides administrative, coordination, and program support across Health Equity Matters’ Pacific HIV programs. This is an early-career role suited to someone with some experience in international development or public health who is looking to build their skills in program management, stakeholder engagement, and regional work.
The role supports day-to-day program delivery, coordination with partners, and internal processes, while also taking responsibility for specific tasks and discrete activities as required.
