About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Allied Health Professional (Registered Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Accredited Clinical Counsellor) to be a part of our Youth Access Team providing services to young people, their families or carers and the wider community. The Purpose of the Youth Access team is to provide young people with a diverse range of services to assist them in achieving their goals and improving their access to services.

The Youth Access Team Clinician responsibilities will include; processing referrals, assessment, engagement, brief psycho education, treatment, clinical and non-clinical group work, liaison and advocacy with an overarching focus on care co-ordination.

Essential Criteria

• Full or Provisional Registration Full Registration in Australia as an Allied Health Professional (Psychologist, Occupational Therapist) or eligible for registration with the AASW (Social Worker), or Accredited Clinical Counsellor qualifications
• Satisfactory National Police Record Check
• Skills in mental health care, including completion of mental health assessments and short term psychosocial treatment, ideally within youth mental health
• Ability to actively engage and work collaboratively with young people, their families and significant others
• Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work flexibly and be responsive to emerging trends and environments
• Demonstrated understanding of skills required and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
