about the role

The role sits within two online programs Work and Study online and Career Mentoring, supporting young people in reaching their employment and education goals. The role provides direct clinical interventions to young people 15-25, manages risk and responds to critical incidents, as well as supporting non-clinical staff with consultations and capacity building.

what we are looking for:

Clinicians with tertiary allied health qualifications and 5 + years of experience in the assessment and treatment of mental health and other related issues for young people, in one of the following areas - Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, Clinical or Counselling Psychology. Additionally, we are looking for mental health professionals who recognise the crucial role that vocational engagement plays in a young person's mental health and wellbeing and can apply clinical knowledge to support functional recovery.

    • Experience in the provision of mental health care, including completion of mental health assessments, crisis intervention, psychoeducation and short-term clinical interventions to young people 
    • Advanced level of clinical skills utilising best-practice models within (youth) mental health and significant knowledge in the common mental health issues faced by young people, indicated treatments for high prevalence disorders and the literature underpinning such approaches
    • A proven track record in providing clinical guidance and consultation to non-clinical and/or clinical staff.
