headspace is Australia's leading youth mental health organisation established to improve the wellbeing of young people aged 12 to 25. Through our national programs, partnerships, and support for the headspace network, we help young people and their families navigate mental health, work, and study challenges with confidence. We strive to create environments where every young person feels empowered, supported, and able to thrive. Learn more at headspace.org.au.
We're looking for an experienced and passionate clinician to help shape the future of family inclusive practice across headspace. This is a unique opportunity to influence how services engage not just young people, but the people who support them, their families, carers, and broader support networks.
In this role you'll bring your expertise in youth mental health and family inclusive care to help embed evidence-based, culturally safe, and genuinely relational approaches across services nationwide.
You won't be working in isolation, you'll be collaborating with clinicians, service leaders, and external partners to build capability, improve practice, and translate evidence into real-world impact.
You will also be eligible to access headspace benefits including:
You will play a key part in shaping and advancing family inclusive practice across headspace. You'll lead and contribute to the development of approaches, frameworks, tools, and resources that support both families and clinicians, while providing expert clinical guidance on how families can be meaningfully included in youth mental health care. You'll also stay across emerging research and best practice to ensure this work remains current, evidence-based, and impactful.
You will also contribute more broadly to strengthening clinical practice across youth mental health services. This includes providing clinical consultation and advice, supporting the development and review of clinical resources and guidance materials, and helping to build workforce capability through training and professional development. A key part of your work will be translating evidence into practical application across the headspace network.
In addition, you will support clinical governance, quality, and safety frameworks, ensuring that clinical materials and approaches are evidence-based, safe, and aligned with best practice standards. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and outcomes for young people and their families.
You will work collaboratively across headspace and with external stakeholders to lead and contribute to strategic projects that improve clinical practice and service delivery. This includes building strong relationships, supporting knowledge sharing and system-wide learning, and contributing to broader organisational priorities, communications, and strategic initiatives.
If you want to help shape how thousands of clinicians across Australia work with young people and their support networks, improving care at both a systems level and a human level then apply now!
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, so we encourage you to apply now.
