The People & Culture Division encompasses three broad streams:
- People Operations
- Corporate Services
- Quality, Safety & Risk
In 2023, the People Operations stream will undergo an exciting transformation, following a review of the current structure, operating model and the changing needs of the organisation. People Operations has now been restructured and is comprised of four key teams - People Strategy & Organisational Development, Workplace Relations, Integrated HR Services and HR Business Partnering.

Tell me about the Manager HR Business Partnering role…
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to join a fast paced and exciting organisation supporting and representing young Australians. Reporting to the Executive Director of People & Culture and working collaboratively with the wider People & Culture leadership team, this role leads a team of four (4) HR Business Partners who collectively act as the focal point for all people matters across the organisation's various portfolio areas and supports their respective areas across all HR strategic, advisory and advocacy services.
Having established trusted and influential relationships with the senior leadership and Executive teams, a typical week as Manager of HR Business Partnering at headspace could include:
- Developing and implementing a key change initiative such as a divisional restructure in alignment with the headspace strategic plan
- Guiding a HR Business Partner in providing support and guidance to a manager in undertaking a performance management process with a member of their team
- Coaching and supporting a manager in developing their leadership and management capabilities, including their leadership styles and accountability for individual behaviours, and the development of their management practices.
- Leading the development and implementation of policies and practices that reflect contemporary, evidence-based approaches and meet legislative requirements and the headspace tone of voice, including the new headspace Enterprise Agreement
What we're looking for
headspace is seeking a tertiary qualified HR professional who has extensive HR generalist and management experience as well as:
- Demonstrated experience in leading the management of employee relations issues
- Solid understanding of industrial relations including Enterprise Agreements, union liaison, employment law and contemporary HR practices
- A proven track record in leading a high performing team in the delivering of excellence in HR business partnering
- Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple tasks and be adaptive to change
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to have difficult conversations confidently
- A reputation as a trusted senior HR professional, problem solver and strategic business partner
- Strong alignment with the values of the organisation under The headspace Way

The salary range for the role is $130,000 - $140,000 commensurate with skills and experience, plus generous salary packaging opportunities up to the maximum amount.
