About the role
headspace invites an experienced and passionate Event Project Manager to take the lead on delivering our largest bi-annual workforce learning event - the headspace Forum 2026 - to be held in Brisbane in June 2026. This three day event brings together over 1,200 staff and stakeholders from across the country to connect, share, and grow their capability and capacity as part of the headspace Network.
This is an exciting and pivotal role that will manage the end to end project management planning and operational delivery of the headspace Forum. From project design to evaluation, you'll lead all aspects of the event lifecycle - working closely with internal teams, stream leads, external suppliers, and our Forum Event Coordinator to ensure everything runs smoothly and effectively.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and delivering a comprehensive project plan across all phases - from scope through to post event evaluation
- Managing project timelines, budgets, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
- Leading risk and contingency planning in collaboration with internal experts
- Coordinating systems, processes, and resources related to program development, speaker management, and event assets
- Overseeing logistics and delivery onsite at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
- Providing expert support and advice on event content, design, and delivery formats
- Managing supplier contracts, grant implementation, and centre travel subsidies
Who we're looking for
- A skilled project or event manager with demonstrated experience in delivering large scale events or programs
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and reporting systems (e.g. Asana, WRIKE, JIRA)
- Proven ability to deliver outcomes within timeframes and budgets, even under pressure
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Experience working with multiple teams and external partners to achieve shared goals
- High level of computer literacy, especially in MS Office and project management tools
- A collaborative and proactive mindset, aligned with our values and commitment to inclusion, cultural safety, and youth mental health
