The Be You Contact Liaison Officer (Education) will work under the direction of the State/Territory Manager to support schools through the delivery of the Be You Bushfire strategy to Australian primary and secondary schools within the bushfire impacted areas.
headspace, will work with other organisations to deliver an evidence-based long term recovery plan, built on disaster recovery principles to support primary and secondary schools in bushfire impacted areas. The Contact Liaison Officer (Education) will work directly to support school communities to develop recovery action plans or undertake other activities to assist the school community on their recovery journey.
Along with the State/Territory Manager and the Strategy Manager (bushfire impacted areas), the Contact Liaison Officer (Education) will also liaise with stakeholders in their area from education, health, and other community services involved in bushfire recovery.
headspace is seeking an engaging individual with significant experience in influencing change and working in collaborative partnerships with school leadership teams and/or education authorities within areas of Australia that have been impacted by natural disaster.
Drawing on your considerable knowledge and experience in stakeholder management and working with schools, you will be the key contact for schools in their assigned region in order to build and maintain strong relationships whilst also supporting them and their communities to respond and recover from the bushfires.
Applications demonstrating experience with the implementation of mental health and wellbeing initiatives and with an applied understanding of youth mental health issues including suicide postvention, suicide and the impact of trauma on school communities will be highly valued. This position calls for the ability to engage, liaise and interact with a broad range of stakeholders across the national health, education sectors and other community services involved in bushfire recovery.

Based in SA, NSW, VIC, a full time role with competitive salary ($70,000 - $90,000) plus car allowance and generous salary packaging benefits. Remuneration is dependent on skills and experience
