The Be You Clinical Lead (National) will support the development, coordination, and governance of clinical practice and procedures nationally. This will include providing intake, allocation, and capacity building to support postvention response and support and also the development of resources to support responses. The role will also require provision of clinical services and stakeholder engagement with State/Territory leaders and school leaders.

what you'll do
Reporting to the National Clinical Advisor, you will:
- Collaborate with Team Leads, State/Territory Coordinators and Consultants to support strategic implementation of Be You, inclusive of suicide postvention planning and response.
- Support the development, coordination, and governance of clinical practice and procedures nationally, incorporating evidence-based service delivery and best practice standards ensuring clinical adherence to national governance framework, inclusive of identifying and supporting management of risk.
- Support State/Territory delivery of suicide postvention response and recovery to secondary schools and critical incident support across primary and secondary schools, triage, allocation, and caseloads to consultants and support postvention response interstate as required.
- Provide clinical supervision to Be You Consultants across State/Territory teams and response debrief as need.
- Support capacity building of consultants and the orientation and induction of new staff.
- Lead and/or participate in clinical meetings, resource development reviews, and projects.
what you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology, mental health nursing, and occupational therapy, or counselling.
- Eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body. Social workers are required to be eligible for full membership with AASW. Psychologists, mental health nurses, and occupational therapists are required to have full registration with AHPRA. Counsellors are required to be eligible for full professional registration at a minimum of Level 3 within the ACA or eligibility as a Certified Practicing Member of PACFA.
- Advanced level of clinical skills within (child and youth) mental health.
- Considerable demonstrated senior clinical experience including the provision of clinical supervision.
- Understanding of youth mental health issues including suicide postvention, suicide, and the impact of trauma on school communities.
