This community based organisation operates across the Northern Territory and are responsible for the delivery of a broad range of services including Aged Care, Mental Health Disability and Childcare service to their communities.

They are currently seeking two Residential Aged Care Managers one to be based in Katherine and the other in Tennant Creek on a permanent full-time basis.

Your new role

Reporting into the General Manager and as part of the leadership team you will be responsible for managing the Residential Service’s staff, financial and material resources. You will promote and lead a safe workplace for all staff and volunteers and ensure that services and quality care is consistent.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide a high level of management and leadership to all staff
  • Ensure resident care is assessed, planned and implemented and evaluated in accordance with model of care and funding model
  • Effectively plan, coordinate, administer, evaluate and report on the service to ensure it meets identified resident needs and standards of quality care.
  • Report on and address the results of accreditation/service reviews.
  • Monitor that the service is delivered and funding is appropriately allocated in accordance with any contractual agreements and guidelines set by the relevant Government Departments.
  • Ensure all funding body requirements (submissions, plans, returns, reports, and statistics) are completed and submitted within required timeframes.
  • Effectively manage, monitor and support employment processes (e.g. Recruitment and Selection, Performance Development and Improvement, Disciplinary Action, Rosters and Leave).

What you'll need to succeed

As the successful candidate you will:

  • Be a Registered Nurse currently registered with AHPRA
  • Extensive experience in residential care services
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, standards and government funding requirements and guidelines.
  • Experience working within and leading a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of leadership, management, customer service and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and business improvement.
  • Police check and drivers’ licence.
