Hartley Lifecare (Hartley) is a Canberra-based not-for-profit organisation providing Supported Independent Living (SIL), Short Term Accommodation or respite care (STA) to people with disability in Canberra. We also operate Hartley Hydro - an all abilities accessible heated pool, which operates 5 days per week at a temperature of 340C.

Hartley Lifecare has a unique opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and professional Events and Markets Manager to execute a diverse range of events and the monthly Hartley Hall Markets. This role requires a proactive individual with a talent for meticulous planning, stakeholder engagement, and fostering community relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee market event coordination
  • Oversee Hartley’s signature events
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Ensure safety and compliance standards
  • Contribute to community-focused initiatives

Requirements:

  • Experience in community/non-profit sector
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An excellent people person
  • Have the ability to manage employees and volunteers
  • Must have a high level physical fitness
  • Valid driver's licence
  • WWVP Card
  • First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS worker orientation module 90 minute online course
