We offer flexible, individualised in-home respite care to children with life limiting or complex care conditions.

Our team support children with their physical health, mental and social wellbeing, focussing on quality of life and care for the whole family while actively working towards our client’s NDIS Plan goals.

Due to growth, we have a number of casual roles available for Support Workers, with weekly, regular day and night shifts available.

Although our roles are casual due to the nature of our business, our goal is to provide continuity of care to our families so ability to commit to rostered shifts is vital. We expect a commitment to a minimum of 2 shifts per week.

MANDATORY CRITERIA:

  • Hold a current and valid Working With Children Card
  • Hold a current NDIS clearance (OR able to obtain one)
  • Have a current First Aid Certificate
  • Have a current CPR certificate (within 1 year)
  • Have a current Manual handling certificate (within 1 year)
  • Have a current WA Driver’s License and a reliable motor vehicle with appropriate insurance
  • Have legal rights to work in Australia.

DESIRED CRITERIA:

Experience in providing personal and health care to children and/or experience working in a home environment, respite centre for children with either:

  • Certificate 3 in Individual Support
  • Certificate 4 in Disability Support
  • Or working towards a nursing degree will be highly regarded.

Additional competencies in tracheotomy management, PEG feeding or managing seizures is desirable along with experience in play therapies is highly regarded.
