About the team

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds. Our purpose is to build resilience of young people and the future potential of Australia by delivering effective youth mental health services in partnership with young people, their families and their local communities. headspace Shepparton was established in 2013. The lead agency for headspace Shepparton is Goulburn Valley Health.

About the role

As the Youth Access Worker, you will provide a youth friendly experience for young people, family and friends and referrers who are accessing headspace Shepparton. The role combines group work and supportive counselling to young people. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in youth mental health, work in a vibrant, supportive busy centre and be part of an energetic multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for

• Current registration with AHPRA if relevant or with the relevant professional body
• Possession of tertiary qualification in either health, behavioural or social sciences
• High level of interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
