Are you looking for a meaningful position and to work with a leading Australian charity? We have an employment opportunity for you!

Guide Dogs is the leading Australian provider of Guide Dogs and orientation and mobility services for people living with low vision or blindness. We are a trusted, long-standing and well recognised charity.

In this position you will develop and implement the PR strategy, manage PR agencies, develop and maintain the key messages bank/framework, and lead reputation management, award submissions and profiling. This role is in our Marketing Centre of Excellence team that works across Victoria, New South Wales, ACT and leads a number of national initiatives. You will also lead the national PR strategy across key national PR initiatives including International White Cane Day and International Guide Dog Day.   

What we love about you:

  • You are a seasoned media or communications professional with at least 5 years’ experience, ideally with exposure to the not-for-profit sector.
  • Your high proficiency in writing for publications and digital platforms.
  • You are a creative mind who looks for innovative ways to achieve media results.
  • Your negotiation and influencing skills, coupled with strong interpersonal relationships skills internally and externally and at all levels.
  • Your flexibility to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Your collaborative approach.
  • You possess a relevant tertiary degree such as communications, marketing, or similar.
  • Ideally you possess a continuous improvement mindset.
