Guide Dogs Victoria currently has an exciting vacancy for an experienced professional to join our Senior Leadership Team in the role of General Manager, Guide Dog and Vision Services reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
In this role you will be responsible to:
- Develop and implement client service strategy in line with our strategic objective of being a provider of choice for the delivery of Guide Dog and Vision Services;
- Develop annual business plans and budgets and track performance against monthly targets;
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the five-year demand forecasts by service and region and ensure services are aligned to meet demand;
- Develop strategic service delivery partnerships to enhance Guide Dogs Victoria’s capacity to improve the independence of people with low vision and blindness;
- Lead or participate in a range of national projects within the Guide Dog Australia network; and
- Maintain relevant relationships with Government agencies and other peak bodies.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualification in a related field and a demonstrated track record in a similar senior leadership position with the proven ability to lead teams of professional people;
- Previous experience managing complex and multi-faceted service operations and service programs and strong commercial acumen, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent people leadership, coaching and mentoring skills and strong client and customer focus and a commitment to person centered service practices, and
- A strong alignment with the vision of Guide Dogs Victoria in delivering independence to people with low vision or blindness.
