An exciting strategic position which will raise awareness, engagement and visibility for the work being undertaken across GRLC to meet our strategic objectives.
The role will provide sound, strategic, operational advice using experience and know-how to provide innovative solutions to complex matters. and will drive communications and build engagement with GRLC's internal and external audiences - staff, volunteers, stakeholders and community.
The successful candidate will:
- Develop, implement, deliver and regularly evaluate communications and engagement strategy, policies and procedures
- Oversee, produce and disseminate brand-aware communications;
- Provide support to the ELT
- Work creatively with managers to provide high level advice and develop internal communications strategies to engage staff
- Use a capacity building approach through coaching and mentoring to assist leaders to manage communication at a branch level;
- Contribute to building GRLC's culture by developing and regularly evaluating a shared understanding of strategic and operational ways to communicate internally
- Support the communications and messaging for any change management projects within GRLC
- Support projects through communications plans which enable managers to profile, build excitement and ultimately lead and manage the change
- Build staff engagement through optimising storytelling that builds internal connections and empathy for each other plus grows comprehension cross organisationally of GRLC’s impact;
- Develop, manage and be accountable for work plans, key performance indicators and budgets, and produce reports, papers and briefings for the ELT and Board as required.
