Key Influencers Lead - Flexible Location

Greenpeace Australia Pacific

Get ready to join the fight for a greener, more peaceful world with Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP)! As an independent campaigning organisation, we creatively and peacefully shine a light on the urgent environmental challenges facing our planet. We don’t shy away from the tough issues, exposing global environmental problems, and developing solutions for a green and peaceful future.

At GPAP, we're not just a team; we're a movement. By joining us, you're not just taking a job – you're seizing an opportunity to make a real-world difference.

With this full-time, two year contract position, you'll elevate your career while elevating the cause that matters most.

Founded in 1971, Greenpeace now operates as 26 independent national/regional organisations in over 55 countries, making it collectively one of the largest environmental networks on Earth.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our brand, expanding our supporter community, and boosting our campaign success. Your responsibilities will involve leading the development and execution of GPAP's influencer program. Your focus will be on establishing meaningful collaborations with social media influencers, driving accelerated growth in our digital audiences, and cultivating stronger connections with our supporters. Your contributions will be instrumental in advancing GPAP's engagement strategy by aligning influencers with our mission and campaigns.

You'll be an integral part of a team of seven exceptional digital Engagement experts who excel in a dynamic blend of teamwork and individual initiative. This role emphasises collaboration, and you won't be working in isolation. Instead, you'll closely collaborate with our Campaign, Engagement, and Fundraising teams to advance GPAP's strategic objectives through crucial influencer partnerships.

You will possess a strong understanding of cultural power and its application within the climate movement, coupled with the broader knowledge of environmental and climate issues and a genuine passion in this space. You are a digital native and social media expert, with a deep understanding of digital channels, content strategies and the power of authentic collaborations to market a message. As an expert communicator, you will ideally have an existing network of Influencers that GPAP could potentially partner with. You will manage 4 or objections.

The ideal candidate will have a global mindset, commitment to diversity, inclusion, and justice, demonstrated through practical application in reaching diverse audiences via collaboration and creative partnerships. As an analytical thinker you will be able to make data-driven decisions across various media and channels.

Strong writing skills are imperative for producing exciting, innovative content that contributes to our campaigns, creating a compelling narrative that excites Key Influencer support and attracts new supporters. Lastly, proficiency in public presentation skills is an additional asset we seek in the ideal candidate. In addition you will have the following experience:

  • Three (3) years’ stakeholder engagement experience including strategy development and implementing bespoke relationship management systems;
  • Proven experience pitching and negotiating impactful partnership agreements;
  • Proven experience of social media content planning, ideation and creative collaboration.
  • Proven experience of digital channel strategies and keeping up with digital trends and personalities.
  • Proven experience engaging with diverse stakeholders to build and maintain strategic relationships;
  • Demonstrated time management, in particular the ability to plan, organise and prioritise multiple projects and maintain tight deadlines.

  • A role with one of the most well-known brands in the environmental NGO space, and the strength of the 50 years of Greenpeace behind you;
  • A great work-life balance including 35 hour work week, integrity framework and generous leave conditions (including an additional week of paid leave between Christmas and New Years);
  • Genuine flexible working conditions including remote work or hybrid working arrangements;
  • A incredible brand new head office space that has just opened up in Rosebery, Sydney;
  • A culture that celebrates inclusivity, belonging and diversity; and
  • An annual health allowance.

Annual full-time salary: $91,080.39 per annum + 11% superannuation per annum.
