At Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), we believe a better world is possible and we’re determined to make it real. We are an independent campaigning organisation, powered by people and creative action, taking on the biggest environmental and climate challenges of our time. Our priorities are:

  • tackling climate change by stopping emissions from fossil fuel extraction at source; and
  • protecting nature, including our oceans and forests, by stopping the largest sources of environmental destruction like industrial fishing and deforestation.

Whatever your role at GPAP, you’ll be part of something bigger: a passionate global movement that sparks action, holds decision‑makers to account, and drives lasting change for people and the planet. This is an opportunity to use your skills, creativity, and commitment to help shape a future worth fighting for.

  • Role: Full time, 6 month Fixed Term Contract
  • Location: Flexible - Open to candidates Australia wide
  • Travel: Project role, requiring travel to Western Australia

THE MOMENT

We’re campaigning to save Scott Reef. It’s one of the most extraordinary marine environments in the world, and it’s under threat from Woodside’s monstrous gas expansion. But for us to save it, first we have to make it famous.

We are looking for a creative partnerships expert with experience in the music industry, to build partnerships with high-profile musicians to bring the wonder of Scott Reef to the people.

You’ll join a highly skilled, dedicated and passionate team of digital engagement experts, campaigners, comms professionals, our marine team and content creation specialists, working in a fast-paced dynamic environment committed to impact.

THE ROLE

Are you a master relationship builder who understands the intersection of culture and climate action? Do you have your finger on the pulse of the Australian music scene?

We are looking for a dynamic Creative Partnerships Lead to drive high-impact creative collaborations for our critical campaign to Save Scott Reef.

In this fast-paced, 6-month role, you will be the primary bridge between Greenpeace and the creative world. You will identify, pitch, and cultivate strategic partnerships with musicians, and influential creative voices to amplify our message, inspire public action, and expand the campaign's reach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cultivate High-Value Partnerships: Identify, outreach, and manage a portfolio of relationships with creative partners, artists, agents, and management teams.
  • Deliver Impactful Projects: Collaborate with partners to design and execute high-profile projects, including music videos, live events, digital campaigns, and creative content.
  • Support Content Generation: Partner with creative contributors and internal teams to help craft inspiring, purposeful content across multiple formats (video, social media, email, and media releases) that mobilises the public.
  • Risk & Risk Management: Lead the recruitment and onboarding of new creative partners, ensuring thorough due diligence and alignment with Greenpeace’s values and mission.
  • Global Collaboration: Work alongside the global Greenpeace Creative Partnership program to leverage international network strength.
  • Measure Success: Collaborate with campaign, engagement, and fundraising teams to track, evaluate, and report on the measurable impact of partnership initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who has elite negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to manage expectations and navigate complex conversations with artists and management. As well as excellent writing skills with the ability to support in the production of exciting, innovative content that excites influencers and attracts new audiences.

You’ll also have:

  • 3+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement, with a proven track record of pitching and negotiating impactful partnership agreements.
  • Experience working directly with creative partners (artists, musicians, or athletes) to deliver multi-platform projects.
  • A deep understanding of cultural power, climate communications strategy, and the current social media landscape.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian music scene.
  • Bonus Points: Pre-existing relationships with potential music or management partners who would align with GPAP’s mission.

We recognise that sometimes the right person for a job is based on personal qualities and not just qualifications. If you are not sure whether you are qualified, we would strongly encourage you to make an inquiry or go ahead and apply.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • Be part of a globally respected brand: Work with one of the most influential names in the environmental NGO space, backed by five decades of courageous campaigning.
  • Work-life balance you can rely on: A 35-hour work week, supported by GPAP’s integrity framework, plus generous leave options (including an additional week of paid leave between Christmas and New Year).
  • Workplace designed for impact: Enjoy our purpose-built head office in Rosebery, Sydney, a space created to foster collaboration and creativity.
  • A culture of belonging: Join a team that truly celebrates inclusivity, diversity, and a sense of community.
  • Support for your wellbeing: Access an annual health and wellness allowance to help you thrive both inside and outside of work.

Annual full-time salary: $101,272.80 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
