About the Role

We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join us on Wurundjeri Country to drive strategic communications activity to help Greening Australia meet its 2030 impact goals, leveraging our brand and key messages to target audiences

This role represents an outstanding opportunity to join Greening Australia focusing on Australia’s greatest environmental challenges. You will play a key part in contributing to our goals through planning and delivering dedicated marketing and communications activity for key audiences including consumers, philanthropists, landholder and commercial audiences.

This role is responsible for developing and implementing communications plans across our major projects and corporate partnerships. It is ideally suited to someone who is customer-focused, an expert communicator, and a proficient writer with experience in stakeholder management.

Key Activities

  • Developing and delivering communication plans for Greening Australia's priorities, partners, and funders.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders, including leading relationship management for key partners.
  • Creating engaging content for priority audiences such as commercial entities, landholders, and philanthropy, guided by strategic marketing and communications plans.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all external marketing and communications.
  • Coordinating advertising activity, including booking and scheduling.
  • Producing high-quality content for external channels, including web articles, print collateral and corporate partnership communications.
  • Developing and managing budgets for partners, with support from the Director of Marketing & Communications.
  • Supporting senior staff by preparing updates, speeches, and presentations.
  • Assisting with marketing and communications deliverables, including social media and website updates.

About You

The Essentials:

  • Proven relevant work experience in marketing, communications, journalism and/or science communication.
  • Exceptional skills in writing, content production, proofreading and editing, with the ability to adapt style to various channels and audiences.
  • Proven ability to engage, inform, and inspire through written communication.
  • Proficiency in selecting and using a variety of communication channels to achieve objectives across owned, earned, and paid media.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience or familiarity with media and PR work.
  • Experience in managing effective relationships with clients and suppliers, particularly with creative agencies, graphic designers and photographers.
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the determination to see projects through to completion.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Interest in environmental issues.

The Nice to Haves:

  • Tertiary qualification in a field related to communications or marketing.
  • Experience in the development and management of advertising campaigns.
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation.
