About the Role:
Greenacres has an opportunity in their Community, Life & Leisure Division for a Part-Time Disability Support Worker.
This position works under general guidance, and within clearly defined guidelines to support participants to meet their needs and goals while at Greenacres, within the community, or in a person’s home.

Essential Criteria:
- Certificate III in Disability Work or related qualification and demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience supporting people with moderate to severe disability who may also have autism, psychiatric conditions and/or physical disability
- Proven commitment to using a Human Rights approach when supporting people with disability, and personal practices which encourage a culture of diversity and inclusion in the workplace
- A clear understanding of Worker expectations in accordance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission. As a minimum, workers will need to have completed their Worker Orientation Module: ‘Quality, Safety and You’, before commencing employment
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and responsive enabling people living with disability to have greater choice and control about their activities and supports
- Demonstrated experience writing accurate daily notes and incident reports
- Ability to demonstrate working collaboratively within varied teams
- Demonstrated understanding of the issues faced by people from culturally diverse backgrounds
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience using work related applications (Apps) on various types of mobile devices
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to WHS and EEO principles. Manual handling tasks may include physical supports, examples include lifting up to 16kg, or driving/operating wheelchair accessible vehicles
Probity Requirements:
- A current National Criminal Clearance Check less than 6 months old prior to engagement
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- The Right to Work in Australia
- NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Worker Orientation Module: ‘Quality, Safety and You’
- Working with Children’s Check or willing to obtain
