headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. We are creating multidisciplinary teams at headspace Shellharbour and Kiama, working to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people.
Grand Pacific Health is a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation and is the lead agency of both headspace centres. We provide locally-tailored, high quality physical and mental health services from 25 locations across NSW and the ACT.
The Mental Health Clinician will work collaboratively with a young person and their family/carers to identify support needs, goals and to develop collaborative care plans. They will provide high quality psycho-social assessment and evidence-based, focused interventions.
This position works closely with other members of the headspace team and external service providers to maximise care outcomes for young people referred to headspace.
We have 2 fixed-term, part-time positions available in Shellharbour (30 hours per week), and Kiama (15 hours per week) to 30 June 2025 with likelihood of extension. Hours and days for both roles are negotiable.
The positions will initially be based in our GPH hubs in Wollongong until the headspace Shellharbour and Kiama offices are established in early 2024.
