About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Lead to join headspace Goulburn and support young people in their mental health and wellbeing journey. If you are a Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker wanting to make a positive difference to the lives of young people in the community, this role may be for you!

The Clinical Lead is a key leadership position within our headspace Goulburn and Yass centres, that will see you provide oversight of the coordination and delivery of clinical services to the highest standard to meet the needs of young people and their families.

You will have your own caseload and provide complex clinical assessment in addition to:

  • Providing support and guidance to a close-knit multidisciplinary team;
  • Facilitating clinical and caseload reviews and;
  • Actively managing referrals and demand for clinical services.

Based in headspace Goulburn, this is a full-time opportunity to 30 June 2026, with possibility for extension. Full time positions have the option to enjoy a monthly Rostered Day Off.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum three years post graduate experience in mental health service delivery (full time equivalent) and meet one of the following;
    • Clinical Psychologists or Registered Psychologists who have current full AHPRA registration, or;
    • Occupational therapists who have current full APHRA registration, and who have completed additional mental health specific training and are eligible for mental health accreditation with OTA, or;
    • Social Workers holding an approved Social Work Qualification (Bachelor/ Master of Social Work) and who have completed additional mental health specific training, and are eligible for mental health endorsement with AASW, or;
    • Division 1 Mental Health Nurses, who have completed additional training or who have relevant experience within mental health e.g., with post graduate qualifications in mental health nursing.
  • Advanced clinical skills including clinical triage, assessment, delivery of evidence based, focussed psychological therapies and support of young people at risk.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key issues in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems including ability to effectively engage with young people and their family, friends or carers.
