At Goodstart our Integrated Services Centre Directors are special people. You are pivotal to Goodstart achieving its vision in locations of high and persistent disadvantage. As the leader of the Centre, you will establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, including families with complex needs, and develop the Centre team to provide high-quality, inclusive education and care. You will also work with local service providers to ensure children and families have access to other supports as required. 

You will source best practice within the organisation and sector, leveraging this to develop and coach your team to deliver outstanding performance. Working closely with your team, you will ensure your Centre meets, as a minimum, the National Quality Standards (NQS), and deliver the required attendance, labour and overall Centre contribution results. 

And with Goodstart being a not-for-profit social enterprise and Australia’s largest early learning and childcare provider, you will be part of something big, that improves the lives of families and communities across the country.

About Goodstart Elizabeth Vale

  • Elizabeth Vale is conveniently located opposite the Lyell McEwin Hospital, close to nearby schools, shops and community services.  
  • The centre provides long day care Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 6.00pm catering to 72 children in the early learning age groups of 6 weeks to 5 years.
  • Our centre offers an outdoor area with naturally inspired learning spaces which have been specifically designed to engage, challenge and delight the children through each stage of development. 
  • The centre is committed to creating a warm and welcoming community focused environment. They look forward to building and maintaining meaningful and trusting relationships with all our families and children. 
  • Goodstart Elizabeth Vale also runs a free Indigenous Playgroup for the local community.

You’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood or Bachelor degree in an allied health, social work or community services discipline or Diploma-level early childhood qualification (as approved by ACECQA) 
  • Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management (desirable) 
  • Certificate IV Frontline Management or other business management qualification (desirable) 
  • Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the child and family service system and proven skill in navigating these to deliver programs and services. 
  • Substantial experience working with children and families in the early years, especially families experiencing vulnerability 
  • Have proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
