The Role

We are seeking a strategic, purpose-driven leader to head our Marketing and Communications function. As General Manager, you will lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide strategies that enhance engagement, and support our mission.

This role leads a high-performing team and works closely with executive leaders to deliver impactful internal and external communications, media and stakeholder engagement, digital strategy, and reputation management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver an integrated marketing and communications strategy aligned with our 2023–2027 Strategic Plan.
  • Oversee media, internal communications, and reputation management.
  • Support fundraising, business development and service area marketing with compelling content and campaigns.
  • Leverage digital tools, platforms and CRM to drive engagement and innovation.
  • Manage communications for the Office of the CEO and lead crisis communication as needed.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a collaborative, high-performing team.
  • Track and report on KPIs and campaign effectiveness. 

About You

You are an experienced communications leader with a strong track record in multi-sector environments and a passion for social impact. You have a collaborative and collegiate approach and are skilled in guiding and supporting stakeholders in bring an idea or vision to life.  

You bring:

  • 5+ years in senior communications or marketing leadership.
  • Experience in B2B, B2C and B2G engagement strategies.
  • Strong leadership, storytelling, media and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Expertise in digital communications and data-driven marketing.
  • A collaborative, values-aligned and innovative mindset.  

Desirable:

  • Experience in not-for-profit or social services sectors.
  • Fundraising, donor engagement or grant writing experience.
