Overall Objective:

The Project Manager – Social Enterprises is responsible for the successful delivery and implementation of a variety of recycling projects within our Social Enterprise, ensuring contracted works are delivered safely, on time and within budget and supporting the Good Sammy purpose:

To create meaningful employment opportunities and pathways for people with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the planning, implementation and commencement phase of all recycling projects coming on line at Good Sammy and manage the smooth hand over of projects once fully operationalised
  • Engage and communicate collaboratively with other stakeholders and internal project champions to deliver on all project requirements
  • Ensure that the projects are delivered safely, on-time, within budget and within scope and contract terms
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the projects
  • Manage the procurement and set up of any plant or equipment, and coordinate resource availability and allocation associated with the projects
  • Ensure the workforce requirements of projects are arranged to maximise meaningful employment opportunities and pathways for people with disability
  • Manage the relationship with all stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document projects needs and timeframes

Occupational Safety & Health

  • Implement and adhere to the Project Safety Management Plan
  • Works safely following GSE safety procedures and use equipment provided in the appropriate manner at all times
  • Comply with GSE’s Policy OSH Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Qualifications / Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent business experience, preferably in Engineering
  • 3 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of development and execution
  • Experience in bringing projects through to live operational status and the ability to take oversight and management of large implementation projects
  • Experience and skill at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Persuasive, encouraging and motivating, along with effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong people and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong problem solving skills
