The impact you will have in this role

As the Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the right products are available in the right place at the right time across our e-commerce operations, directly contributing to our organisational mission of reducing waste and supporting those in need.

You will be responsible for managing stock levels, supporting inventory flow across our supply chain, analysing data to inform allocation decisions and helping to optimise operational efficiency and customer experience. You are a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a multifaceted role that combines coordination, reporting, and continuous improvement activities. Working closely with and reporting to the e-Commerce Manager and cross-functional teams (including Customer Service, Operations, and Partnerships), you will drive visibility, accuracy, and optimisation across all inventory-related processes.

What to expect in your role

  • Collaborate: Work with internal teams and external partners to forecast, plan, and ensure smooth delivery and receipt of donations to the Good360 ReDistribution Centre. Liaise with Operations to prioritise processing and track incoming stock.
  • Monitor, maximise and optimise: Manage inventory across warehouse, alternative distribution, and online channels to maintain availability, minimise errors, and reduce excess stock.
  • Strategy: Support the development of inventory strategies for new product categories, sales events, and growth initiatives. Contribute to continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analysis and reporting: Track and analyse inventory performance, identifying risks and opportunities. Provide dashboards and insights to guide business decisions.
  • Data accuracy: Maintain accurate product records, stock levels, and inventory dashboards to ensure transparency and timely reporting across the business.
  • Investigate and resolve: Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and product issues, working cross-functionally to ensure accountability and accuracy.
  • ERP optimisation: Assist in the improvement of inventory systems and ERP processes to reduce manual work and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Training: Support training of internal teams and stakeholders on inventory systems, reporting tools, and best practices to build knowledge and consistency.

What you bring

  • 2+ years’ experience in inventory management, merchandise planning, supply chain, or e-commerce operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret data, draw insights, and propose solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for accuracy and data integrity.
  • Curious, focused, responsive and adaptable.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
  • Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
  • Customer-first attitude with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas)

Bonus Points for

  • Experience working within e-commerce, retail, marketplace or logistics environments (preferred).
  • Exposure to supply chain, order fulfilment, or warehouse operations
  • Experience with ERP and/or inventory management (Netsuite & WMS) systems
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
