Go Gentle Australia

WHO WE ARE

Join Go Gentle Australia - a small team making a big difference to end-of-life care.

We are a national charity founded in 2016 by Andrew Denton and known for our role in legalising voluntary assisted dying laws in all six Australian states. These laws mean eligible people who are terminally ill can ask their doctor for medication to end their life.

Voluntary assisted dying returns power and control to the dying person, providing choice, comfort and relief to them and their loved ones. Now the laws are up and running in all six states - and under consideration in the Territories - you’ll join us at a pivotal time.

We work in a vibrant, airy, shared office space in Darlinghurst with easy access to the city, green space and too many cafes to count. We welcome dogs to the office. We're a caffeine-powered, fast paced, fun and friendly team who believe in a positive work-life balance. Flexible working is welcomed.

  • Assist with our wider program of in-person and virtual events, including contributing ideas to event concept and design, sharing invitations and handling RSVPs, distributing promotional materials, answering questions, setting up and running online webinars from Zoom (or similar), evaluating what worked and what can be improved

  • Keep our key projects on track by organising team meetings, following up with minutes and tracking actions
  • Provide any other support for key projects as required

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in a busy admin role, with exposure to event admin

  • Proactive, with the ability to thrive in a small team

WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU?

  • A salary package between $50,000 - $60,000 (pro-rata for 3 days per week), dependent on experience, plus superannuation
  • 4 weeks annual leave (pro-rata) plus an additional two-week shutdown over the December-January break
