GMI have recently transitioned from a communal model to newly developed Core and Cluster model (one of the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Family Violence), with new purpose-built facilities.

The role of the Case Manager is to provide family violence risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy and holistic case management support to victim/survivors (inc. children and young people) of family violence.

The successful applicant will have:

• Qualifications in Social Work or related discipline (Nursing, Midwifery, Mental Health, Counselling, Youth Work, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Public Health, Community Development or Psychology) and willing to engage in a professional development plan to meet the minimum qualifications for specialist family violence practitioner (further details in Position Description).
• They will practice from an intersectional feminist framework and recognise family violence as a gendered issue that impacts significantly on women and children/young people, whilst drawing from other relevant legislations and frameworks to ensure systemic, inclusive and strengths-based service delivery.
