Whether you are experienced in the Education or childcare sector, have done some babysitting, this is the first time you are thinking about working with children, or anything in between. THIS is the role for you!

Girl Guides Victoria is seeking to establish a pool of educators to undertake a variety of activities to encourage curiosity and well-being. Ideally, you have skills, passion or an interest to share with children as diverse activities and creativity is key to happy healthy youth. You will bring a sense of adventure, empathy and energy, as well as a meaningful teamwork approach.

Opportunities are for passionate individuals to join the team who have availability and can commit daily during Victorian school holidays, you will need to have availability between 7am until 6pm daily.

As a valued member of the Girl Guides team, you will:

Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the children in our care

  • Assist in the planning and preparation of exciting and innovative activities that enrich the lives of the children in our care
  • Cultivate a welcoming and nurturing environment
  • Play and have FUN with children
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children in your care

About You

  • You are passionate about children, have loads of energy and just love to have fun!
  • You are a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do positive attitude.
  • Ideally you have previous experience working in a Before, After School Care or vacation care program ideally from an education background, but this is by no means essential.
  • You have outstanding communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • You are qualified or studying towards a recognised qualification in Education, Youth, Sports Science, Social Work, Health or a related field.
  • Have a genuine passion for, and experience working with children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and happiness.
  • Be a great team player, always enthusiastic about helping the team achieve the highest quality service
  • Be innovative - you show initiative by presenting new ideas and solving problems as they arise.
  • Have a WWCC, First Aid Certificate and be prepared to undertake a police check.
  • You love to have FUN!
