This position will be full-time, 5 days per week, and based at Gidget House North Sydney.

Contract

This role will initially be contracted for a 1-year period, with the possibility to extend thereafter.

About the role

The Clinical Practice Manager will provide leadership to a team of 8 frontline support members, operational management across 24+ Gidget House locations and support our telehealth program. Working closely with our Programs team, this role will ensure all clinics operate in the most efficient and professional manner.

The successful candidate will be extremely flexible to changing situations and requirements and have a can-do attitude. They will have a desire for continuous improvement and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Whilst this role is client focused, it may at times involve contribution to other key organisational functions.

Primary Responsibilities

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day clinic operations across all 24+ Gidget House clinics and the telehealth program.
  • Managing our frontline support team members, Assistant Practice Manager and Clinical Intake Coordinator.
  • Develop and implement practice policies, procedures, and practice management system for continual improvement.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Practice Manager to manage the logistics of the commencement of new clinicians and/or the exit of existing clinicians.
  • Oversee the management of the client waitlist, clinician availability and implement strategies to address issues as they arise.
  • Manage the clinical practice management system (currently Power Diary), including troubleshooting, data entry accuracy and system usage optimisation.
  • Generate and disseminate practice related reports and provide current practice data for internal and external reporting.
  • Work with the Programs Manager and Programs Director to improve data accuracy within the internal reporting system, and the use of reports to improve completion of clinical discharge summaries.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in a similar role; in a medium to large sized office or clinic, managing a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to lead and engage a high performing team and provide ongoing support and development opportunities.
  • Understanding of developing processes and ensuring best practice.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding environment; prioritise tasks and ensure that critical tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Highly efficient and organised, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Excel (and/or Mac equivalent programs), willingness and ability to learn new software e.g., GFA’s practice management software “Power Diary”.
  • Reliable and flexible to respond to the needs of the organisation.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector would be an advantage, but not required.
  • Previous experience in financial administration, including invoicing, receipting and payments.
  • Previous experience in a medical, allied health or psychological practice with understanding of Medicare Bulk Billing would be highly advantageous.
