Girl Guides Tasmania (GGT) – a Child and Youth Safe Organisation is part of the world-wide movement of more than ten million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts operating in over 152 countries across 5 regions. This progressive, non-political voluntary organisation is empowering girls and young women to discover their potential as leaders of their world by providing a values based, flexible and dynamic, non-formal educational program. We exist because girls do.
Under the direction of the CEO (or her delegate), the Property Manager and Bookings Officer is responsible for the effective management, maintenance, and utilisation the Girl Guide Halls and campsites across Tasmania. This role ensures that all properties are safe, well-maintained, and accessible for Girl Guide activities and external bookings, supporting the mission and values of Girl Guides Tasmania. A key focus of the role is to promote and market these facilities to external users to maximise community engagement and income generation.
The position supports the smooth operations of Girl Guides Tasmania, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering girls and young women. As an integral part of Operations at Guide House, this position directly contributes to the achievement of Girl Guides Tasmania’s mission, purpose, and strategic goals.
The role requires someone who is flexible and adaptive to the changing pace of the organisation and is highly motivated, with strong values fit.
Are you a proactive and organised professional who thrives on variety and purpose? You will have a passion for managing multiple sites with care and efficiency and bring strong communication skills to liaise confidently with contractors, community groups, and volunteers. With a background in property, facilities, or venue coordination, you're equally comfortable handling maintenance schedules as promoting spaces to drive bookings and revenue aligned with the values of Girl Guides Tasmania.
The organisation embraces girls and women from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, socio-economic groups, and geographical areas and provides a supportive environment within which they can extend their personal boundaries. Organisational leadership at all levels is provided by skilled, open-minded. Flexible working arrangements are available.
