We are seeking 2x Specialist Family Violence Team Leaders to join our growing team of skilled professionals at The Orange Door - Werribee. A maternity leave position is available at our Werribee hub until June 2026. In addition, we have an ongoing role available at our new Footscray Access point. These role range from a SHADS Level 7 (between $120,812.64 to $125,851.44 plus superannuation).

The Orange Door provides a specialist first point of contact for those experiencing family violence, those choosing to use violence and assessment of child and wellbeing needs. As a first point of contact our staff provide a client centred, timely response which may take the form of family violence risk assessments, safety planning, child wellbeing assessments, brief intervention, and provision of referral pathways.

This role sits within an integrated team model, where experts work together from varying agencies to reduce the impact of family violence on victim survivors and increase service accountability. This integrated model is an incredible opportunity for upskilling, exposure, and family violence professionalism.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Line management of direct reports by providing supervision, performance development, mentoring and wellbeing support
  • Manage an integrated team by providing regular clinical case direction, allocation and review of cases, workflow management, roster co-ordination, KPI monitoring and capacity building by providing specialist family violence oversight and expertise
  • Complex case work by exception
  • Active contribution in leadership meetings, workshops and activities

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A demonstrated understanding of legislation, theory, and practice as it relates to the provision of family violence services
  • Leadership and supervisory experience in family violence service, proven ability to lead teams to achieve program goals and tasks
  • Substantial experience in developing effective and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve service user and program outcomes
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to plan, implement and review services
