We are seeking a Family Violence Clinical Practice Lead to join our Integrated Family Violence team on a 2 year fixed term contract on a full-time basis (0.8/0.9 considered). The Family Violence Clinical Practice Lead will drive clinical excellence at GenWest and will be responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the clinical framework.
You will provide high level clinical consultation and advice to Managers and Team Leaders to build capacity and ensure the delivery of high-quality family violence services. In addition, you will provide clinical group supervision, and will support the broader learning and development agenda of the Integrated Family Violence Services stream, partnering with relevant Managers.
Reporting to the General Manager – Safe Places & Recovery, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the GenWest clinical framework.
- Leading practice development across the Integrated Family Violence Services stream, including reviewing case file reviews, critical incident analysis, and providing expert case advice to Managers and Team leaders on high risk, complex or sensitive cases.
- Leading professional practice development for both Team Leaders and Practitioners across the stream; including staff development and training, in order to continuously promote best practice family violence service provision.
- Assisting the Program Managers and Team Leaders in ensuring practitioners meet their case recording and case file requirements, including data recording that contribute to performance targets.
- Remain up to date with evidence-based practice models within the broader context of evidence informed practice and implementing best practice approaches within family violence.
- Alerting Managers and Team Leaders to any practice and workplace issues.
- Providing clinical group supervision to practitioners, including The Orange Door Advanced Family Violence Practice Leaders.
For you to be successful within this role we require you to possess:
- Proven clinical leadership skills with expertise in client-centred consultancy and ability to work collaboratively with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in clinical practice.
- Proven ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the utilisation of evidence based research.
- Demonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organisational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems and experience in the development of learning and development programs.
- Knowledge of key legislative and policy frameworks and practice relevant to family violence, including but not limited to trauma informed frameworks, family violence risk assessment and management framework and child centred inclusive practice.
- Tertiary qualifications in social work or a related field as per the Minimum Mandatory Qualifications (MMQ).
- 5-7 years' experience in the family violence sector.
- Possess a minimum of 4 years' experience in a leadership or practice development role.
