Founded in 1992 by visionary parents aiming to create a more supportive, compassionate environment for families facing the impacts of childhood cancer, (CCF) has continued expanding as they raise funds to develop world-class cancer treatment and support for children and their families.

Poised for their next exciting phase of growth, the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) is seeking a seasoned and strategic Philanthropy Lead to guide and elevate their philanthropic efforts.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust philanthropy strategy to maximise revenue across three key pillars: major donors, trusts and foundations, and bequests. Reporting directly to the CEO and working cross-functionally, you’ll cultivate and steward meaningful relationships with high-net-worth individuals, establish and launch a bequest program, and build strong pipelines for donor acquisition and long-term growth.

You will play a central role in building strong pipelines for donor acquisition and growth, while leveraging the success of CCF’s existing networks and programs – including the iconic Million Dollar Lunch – to foster deep, long-term relationships that align donor passion with purpose.

This is a hands-on and strategic opportunity to shape the future of philanthropy at CCF. You’ll help create compelling donor communications, stewardship journeys, and cases for support that inspire generosity and amplify the reach of CCF’s impact in childhood cancer care and research.

  • Confident in engaging with senior executives and Board members, bringing the presence, credibility, and strategic insight needed to represent philanthropy at the highest level

  • Resilient and actively conscious of self-care given the nature of CCF’s purpose and the potential interactions with those living with and affected by cancer
  • Strong alignment with CCF’s core values: Curious, Collaborative, Accountable, Advocate, Belief.
