MacKillop Family Services

(MacKillop) strives to ensure all families are supported to provide children with a safe and loving home, and the best possible start to their lives. Working across Victoria, NSW, WA, NT and the ACT, MacKillop provides early intervention programs to support vulnerable families out of home care for children and young people temporarily unable to live with their family; and education for students disengaged from mainstream education.

Reporting to the Director, Community Engagement the Head of Fundraising and Philanthropy plays a critical role in diversifying the income streams of MacKillop Family Services by developing and implementing a multi-year strategy to grow income from the community.

You will manage a collaborative team and a multi-channel fundraising program including direct mail campaigns, regular giving, community fundraising, bequests, corporate support and major gifts. You will drive sustainable growth in supporter engagement and philanthropic income, while building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership will help embed a thriving culture of philanthropy across the organisation.

About YOU

• 7+ years’ experience in a senior fundraising role, including managing a team of fundraising professionals
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and established professional networks i.e: FIA, CFRE accreditation
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing and implementing a multi-year fundraising program
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and shape a culture of fundraising across the organisation
• Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team to achieve exceptional outcomes
• High level analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Sound knowledge of the community services sector
• Must have a valid and current Victorian Driver’s License and Working with Children Check
